Dr. Diuguid was and instructor of mine at Harris Stowe. I also worked as a lab assistant at the college and a few times at his laboratory on Jefferson.

I credit Dr. Diuguid as a major reason why I had a successful career as a meteorologist.

She was my aunt or great aunt, I'm not sure. But I remember her well. We would visit her often in Lynchburg. I remember she periodically came to my school in Bedford. She taught me sewing stiches which I still remember.
I went to Virginia State also, and then to Oregon State University for Master's and Ph.D. degrees. I am now a Professor Emeritus of Biology at the University of California San Diego and teach at the Yonsei University International Summer School in Seoul, Korea. I will appreciate any additional information you might have on Aunt Susie and her husband.

The Legacy Museum does not have information about Sterling Brown at VA Seminary. I suggest contacting the institution now named Virginia University of Lynchburg 2058 Garfield; Lynchburg, Va 434 528 5276

Does anyone have photos of Sterling A. Brown, a faculty member at Virginia Seminary and College, from 1923-1926? He was "sent" there by his father, Rev. Sterling Nelson Brown, and historian Carter G. Woodson, ostensibly to teach. My theory is that he held out hope that his son would hear "the call" and enroll in the seminary.

Mr. Sewell,
If the publications concern the Virginia Seminary and College, the Legacy Museum would be interested in examining them. Are you offering them as a loan or gift? Please contact Ms. Robinson at the Museum 434-834-3455.

I have the quote you used at the top of this artricle written in a notebook and I'm unable to locate the original source. Of course, I know Elieen Lynch was the author but I would like to know who she is/was and where the line is from. Can you help me?

Thank you in advance!

Yes Ms Toy. The entire exhibit should be posted soon. Please let me know what you think of the exhibit after you have had a chance to "tour" it. Thank you for your interest. Dr. Dianne Swann-Wright

I have many of the The Expected publications of the Virginia Baptist Convention. Most are dated1944-1955. Please let me know if there's anyone interested in them. I'm calling around to Maryland and other areas to the historians of the churches to see if they are interested also. The print and covers are in great condition.
