Clarence W. Smith (1918-1994) Howard University Radiologist

Clarence W. Smith grew up in Lynchburg, graduated from Dunbar High School, and earned a BS from Hampton Institute. In 1942 he moved to Washington, DC, where he worked for more than thirty years at Freedmen’s Hospital. He retired as chief of X-ray technology and director of the school of radiology at Howard.
