Alla Diuguid Booth (1882-1959)

Alla Booth was a teacher in Campbell County in the late 1800s and early 1900s. She taught at the Leet School, Long Mountain, Pilot Mountain, Chapel Grove, Rustburg Elementary, Red House, and Suck Creek schools. Her educational training included Morgan College Annex in Lynchburg, Hampton Institute in Hampton, Virginia State College in Petersburg, and St. Paul’s College in Lawrenceville. She married Ellis E. Booth in 1911 and reared six children.
