Leading Causes of Death in Lynchburg Fiscal Year 1959

Blacks outnumbered whites in every category of causes of death, except cancer and birth injuries, for those residing in Lynchburg in fiscal year 1959. In contrast to 1944, tuberculosis and nephritis (kidney disease) no longer appeared among the leading causes of death.
